I turned 40 and started a Substack.

In January of 2025, I turned 40.

(Cut to Bridget Jones voice over: “In my 40th year of being single”).

Last night (cut to March), over martinis in the mezzanine of the Beekman (the bar was full so we took our drinks upstairs and stood around in the dark), my friends convinced me to do this Substack. I spend a lot of time traveling, eating, playing with clothes, dating, and generally enjoying life in Brooklyn, NY. I’ll continue to live life and report back here.

So far Substack reminds me of my computer classes in school- a lot of “cut and pasting”. I also used to be an avid scrapbooker- this feels like that.

Here is what I was wearing when I was convinced to start the Substack:

To conclude this first entry, I will say that I am going to go back in time and document some fun moments, fits and food from January and February (which I spent in Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand) in order to catch up to March in this, my 40th year of being single.
